Dream with beautiful native flowers ~ This artwork celebrate the iconic waratah and banksia flowers.
Waratah flower:
This is a vibrant red-flowered shrub native to southeastern Australia, particularly New South Wales. It's a crucial part of Australian culture, serving as the state floral emblem of New South Wales and featuring prominently in art and crafts. The plant's name, "Waratah," is derived from the Eora Aboriginal word "warada," meaning "beautiful" or "seen from afar".
Banksia flower:
Banksia flowers are native to Australia and come in a variety of colors, including yellow, red, orange, and pink. They are part of the Proteaceae family, which also includes grevilleas and waratahs. Banksia flowers are often characterized by their unique, cone-like seed pods that are woody and can be hairy or smooth.
